Shahid Kapoor shared poster of his much awaited film ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’

Good news for all Shahid Kapoor’s fans, finally the poster of ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ is shared by Shahid on Instagram. The poster confirms first trailer to be out on 10th Aug at 12:30 pm. Poster seems to be an interesting one which features whole city in a fused bulb and there is an electricity bill in background.The poster reads, “fused bulb se Kranti nahi layi jaa sakti.” The actor shared the poster and captioned it as, “It’s current! It’s light! It’s shocking! #BattiGulMeterChalu #BGMCPoster Trailer out on Friday at 12:30 pm.”

The film ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ seems to be very special for Shahid Kapoor as his wife Mira Rajput liked the script very much.

After Akshay Kumar, now it is the turn of Shahid Kapoor to showcase a social issue of electricity shortage and inaccuracies in electricity bills. Recently, Akshay has worked on couple of films like PadMan and Toilet-Ek Prem Katha which were based on social issues which still prevailed in some parts of our country.  BGMC is directed by Shree Narayan Singh, the film also features Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam in pivotal roles.

Another news featuring ‘Jab We Met” actor which is making rounds- he has moved out of Imtiaz Ali’s next. Last year,  if rumours were to be believed, Shahid Kapoor might team with Imtiaz Ali once again for a project. However, if current reports are to be believed that Shahid has moved out of the project as there were no developments from the makers. It is believed that Imtiaz couldn’t find the right producers to back the project. Shahid Kapoor and Imtiaz Ali have earlier worked together in super hit movie “Jab We Met”. The film was made in a budget of Rs. 17 cr and earned Rs. 71 cr. It is biggest hit of Shahid Kapoor till date.

After Batti Gul Meter Chalu, Shahid will be seen in hindi remake of Arjun Reddy. T-Series announced the release date of the film.
